Jenna Fischer

If anyone knows how to take her look from The Office to the Emmys, it’s Jenna Fischer. When figuring out her makeup palette for the Emmys, Jenna and her makeup artist, Molly Stern, decided that they “ wanted to keep it simple and neutral, so that it wouldn’t compete with her gorgeous, vintage Versace gown.”

Here, Stern shares with us the behind the scenes beauty break down on how she got Fischer red-carpet ready. Follow along for a look just like hers:

  1. To start, I prepped Jenna’s skin with Jurlique Lavender Hydrating Mist, then lightly moisturized her skin with SK-11 Facial Treatment Essence.
  2. Next, I applied as a base and gave her cheeks the perfect glow—flushed, but not too rosy—with CoverGirl Simply ageless Sculpting Blush in Plush Peach.
  3. To give Jenna’s eyes a sublte yet smoky effect, I covered the lid with By Terry’s Ombre Blackstar in Bronze Fire, then dusted over it with a metallic beige shadow [one of two in] the NARS Duo in Rajasthan and also applied it in the crease of the eye. Along her lash line, I smudged out the CoverGirl Liquiline Blast in Brown Blaze, then coated her lashes with CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion in Brown.
  4. Finally, we wanted her lip to look defined yet super soft, so I went with Josie Maran Magic Marker Lip and Cheek Stain in Mambo and topped it with CoverGirl Wetslicks Amazemint Lipgloss in Freedom of Peach.

Jenna then turned to celebrity hair stylist for TRESemmé, Mara Roszak, to tousle her tresses. “We really wanted to keep her hair fresh and pretty with a sexy, bed head texture,” says Roszak. To get this look:

  1. Start by parting your hair slightly off center when it’s damp.
  2. Next, apply Phytovolume Actif Volumizer Spray all over your head at the roots, and a pea-size amount of to ends.
  3. Use a medium-size round brush to blow the hair dry and add volume. Then, create waves with a 1 1/4 inch barrel iron, rotating the direction of the wave [rolling the iron upward the root for some and under toward the nape of the neck for others] and leaving the ends of the hair out for a more natural feel.
  4. Gently tease the crown for a little extra height, then break up the waves you’re your fingertips. Keep strands in place with a spritz of Leonor Greyl Voluforme Hair Spray.
