We are currently obsessing over Drew Barrymore—and the naturally gorgeous look she flaunted at The Late Show with David Letterman this week in New York City. We’re actually loving it so much that we tracked down the makeup artist behind the scenes, the talented Debra Ferullo, to give us the inside scoop on what products she used to enhance this bombshell’s beauty:
“I started by prepping her face with La Mer The Moisturizing Lotion. Then, I patted on primer [to help the look stay], followed by La Mer The Treatment Fluid Foundation.” [For a flawless complexion—and to avoid unsightly streaks—press or stipple the formula into skin with a damp round sponge, applying it only on the areas you need it most to keep the coverage from looking cakey.]
“I then lined her entire eye [upper and lower lashlines] with a Brown Eye Pencil by MAC and smudged it out [to soften it up a bit],” adds Ferullo. To give her gaze a more smoky effect, “I topped the liner with CoverGirl Shadow Blast Shadow Stick in Gold, and finished off the look with three coats of Fresh Supernova Mascara in Black.”
To mimic a naturally flushed look on her cheeks, “I used Smashbox Blush Rush in Bright Fuscia and applied it with a big, fluffy brush to give it a softer feel.” And to get that barely-there yet glossy lip, “I swiped on MAC Lipstick in Please Me and topped it off with CoverGirl Shine Blast Lip Gloss in Aglow.
