Ashley Olsen “In Her Bag”
Leavin’ On A Jet Plane
Leaving Los Angeles this morning and heading off on a press tour! We are visiting 5 cities in 5 days (Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco) to promote the new Disney film ‘Secretariat’ and with Diane Lane on one side of me and makeup artist Kate Lee on the other side, I’m sure this is going to be a FUN trip!
Mark’s Picks for September
A week ago I was at JFK airport and had some time to kill before my flight started boarding so I walked into the Swatch store and I was immediately taken back to the 5th grade when all I wanted for Christmas were Swatches so I could layer them and wear 3 at a time. The designs of these are really cool and they are so light and inexpensive. I walked out of the store with 4 of them! | I travel a lot for work and my my skin suffers from all the recycled air on planes and climate changes so I use this mask once a week to hydrate my skin. I love it because it infuses lots of moisture without making my skin look greasy. |
This blowdryer is absolutely fantastic! This dryer is handmade in Paris and is so light but incredibly powerful and quite too. I’ve switched out all my other blowdryers for this one! | I never ever thought it would happen, but I have found a hairspray that I like better than L’Oreal Elnett! This spray gives the hair amazing hold and brushes out easily without leaving the hair sticky or flaking. On photo shoots I have to maintain a hairstyle for hours through many wardrobe changes and this spray doesn’t build up at all! |
This upcoming season we are seeing hair with this amazing rough, but not beachy, texture and this spray is perfect to achieve that! I style the hair completely and then I spray this on the dry, finished hair to give it a little rock n roll edge. This is also great to spray on the hair in an updo to give it some texture. | This is such a great and fantastic book! High-brow and high-fashion gossip mixed in with amazing stories and tips on manners, and I think everyone (me especially) could use a refresher course on manners these days. |

Ahhhhhhh!
It is too hot to hike this morning in Los Angeles. Actually I’m too lazy to hike this morning, so instead I’m going to treat myself to an in-home spa day! I’m going to give myself a facial with Patricia Wexler M.D. Resurfacing Microbrasion System, then relax while my SK-II Signs Eye Mask de-puffs my tired eyes ( I keep these in the fridge so they are cold when they go on!) then I’ll treat my hair to some Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner while I finish some blog posts. Just the kind of Saturday I need!
