Here a couple more pics of Taylor Swift from Marie Claire shoot. Mark Abrahams is one of my favorite photographers to work with and you can see why here! He pays so much attention to every detail to get the best shot, for a hairstylist he’s a dream.
To create Taylor’s loose waves for the shoot, I put about a nickel size amount of Phytodefrisant Relaxing Balm in her wet hair (I order this stuff by the case at beauty.com!) and I blew out her hair with a round brush. Next I took 2 to 3 inch sections of hair and I hold the section by the ends and wrap the hair around the barrel of a 1 and 1/4 inch curling iron starting at the roots and leaving the bottom 2 inches away from the heat of the iron, this will give you more natural looking waves and keep you from burning your fingers. When all her hair had been wrapped around the iron, I took a small amount of Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream in my hands and rubbed them together, then raked my fingers through the waves to distribute the cream all over. This gives the hair tons of shine with a slight hold to keep the waves in place and looking great.
